Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to review and answer it. We keep that correspondence within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive routine technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- Device IP address
- Visited pages and time spent on them
- A referring website, when one is supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved by a browser. They help analytics services combine traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. Browser controls can block them, although doing so may change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
- Sending a chosen query to the correct search partner
- Maintaining site availability and speed
- Finding and repairing technical faults
- Measuring which pages visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect user interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not build, store, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site describes how to reach the Hardeman County Sheriff's Office, local court clerks, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not compiled into a third-party dossier or consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the site's search boxes. Their policies, not this policy, control a query submitted to them. Each partner sets its own rules for retention and disclosure. Review those terms before using the tool.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Hardeman County sheriff, court resources, Tennessee agencies, legal services, or outside search providers. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal details.
An advertising provider may use its own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not control that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information can be received by:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a query submitted to their tool
- Advertising networks that serve page ads
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary safeguards for the information in our care. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, so these measures cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide added rights. The Tennessee Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-515, governs access to qualifying government records, not private-site analytics. Tennessee registry disclosure is separately governed by Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-39-214. For data held by this private site, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data held about that visitor
- Ask that incorrect personal information be fixed
- Request deletion where the law permits it
- Object to certain forms of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices change. A revised version will be posted here with its new effective date.
